Why We Invested in Kshetra – A Soulful Sanctuary

My story @Kshetra - Dr. Abhishek Barli & Dr. Sindhura Bandi

When our dear friend first mentioned they were working on a unique, nature-inspired living community called Kshethra. we smiled politely and braced ourselves for what we assumed would be another well-packaged real estate pitch. We’ve all been there—plots, promises, and glossy brochures. But then, the conversation took a turn. They began describing misty mornings filled with birdsong, homes built with earthy textures, and spaces designed to breathe with you, not just around you. Suddenly, we weren’t thinking like passive listeners—we were envisioning a future. One where we found ourselves reaching for our cheque books and, oddly enough, our chakras too.

Investing in Kshethra.Living has turned out to be one of the most fulfilling decisions we’ve ever made—not just in terms of financial prudence (although, let’s admit it, that’s a welcome bonus)—but on a much deeper, soulful level. It’s rare to come across a place that feels like a seamless blend of a yoga retreat, an artist’s sanctuary, and a real-world manifestation of our dream Pinterest board. And yet, that’s exactly what Kshethra is.

This isn’t just another collection of homes. This is a thoughtfully envisioned ecosystem where every element, from architecture to agriculture, has been curated with intention. It’s where slow living isn’t just a catchphrase—it’s a lifestyle. Where the idea of "garden-to-plate" isn't a luxury, but a daily rhythm. Where impromptu flute concerts under ancient banyan trees feel entirely possible, and possibly even likely. And if not flutes, then perhaps evenings filled with poetry, painting, or the joyous bleating of friendly goats.

What truly sets Kshethra apart is the spirit of community it fosters—a kind of quiet, creative synergy that flows between like-minded souls seeking peace, purpose, and a reconnection with the natural rhythms of life. It’s a space where children can grow up with soil under their fingernails, elders can rediscover storytelling under starlit skies, and everyone in between can finally breathe a little easier.

To our wonderful friend: thank you for dreaming beyond square footage and profit margins. Thank you for daring to build soulful sanctuaries rather than just structures. For creating a living space that doesn’t just house people—but elevates how they live, think, and feel.

We’re counting down the days to when we’ll be sipping herbal tea on our verandas, chatting about pottery, poetry, permaculture—and perhaps a pet goat named Chutney.

With love, gratitude, and compostable enthusiasm
